MOURNING MICHELE, EVENING SKY

Sculptural Multi-Media Installation:  Acrylic Objects, Video Projection, Sound, Mp3 players, Headphones, Text. 2016.

Mourning Michele, Evening Sky is an immersive installation that creates a netherworld exposing the ambiguous and often inscrutable emotional state of a survivor immediately following a traumatic loss. Reality becomes less solid; the past haunts the present. What was once safe and familiar becomes illusory in the midst of grief.

In this installation, transparent acrylic sculpture, text, sound, and projected video work together to allow the viewer to walk through transparent spaces that are charged with memory and emotion.
